In Loving Memory of Buttons Chapman

Buttons was our second addition to the family, about six months after Thomas and they got on very well and did so all of his life, because unfortunately Buttons is no longer with us.

He was the first animal we lost and it hit us all very hard, he passed away 21st December 2002 aged 14 years, and it was a terrible loss for us all just before Christmas, it just wasn't the same without Buttons waiting for his share of the turkey.

Buttons was such a character, we use to call him the 'gentle giant' because he was such a large cat, but so gentle with the family. Although when he was younger he was always getting into cat fights, coming home with scratches and bites on him. When we first got the kittens he wasn't too keen but then he soon realised that it meant extra food and he would often sit in the kitchen with them hoping we wouldn't notice him so he would get an extra bowl of food.

One morning, my father whilst walking the dogs caught him carrying home a chicken carcass, he obviously wanted an early breakfast! He was such a character and we all miss him terribly every day.

He was and will always be our 'gentle giant' sleep easy boy xxxxx
